Yamunotri

Situated in the Garhwal Himalayas, Yamunotri is the source of the sacred Yamuna River. Yamunotri  is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,293 meters (10,804 feet) above sea level. Yamunotri is a pristine and tranquil destination surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush green forests. Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna is the primary attraction here. This temple stands near the foot of the Kalind Parbat.

The journey starting from Hanuman Chatti this trek to Yamunotri is an adventure in itself, Then followed by a 6-kilometer trek from Janki Chatti. The path is lined with vibrant beauty of mountains , alpine flora, and the mesmerizing sights of cascading streams. This destination is of much spiritually significant as the Yamuna River is considered a symbol of life and divine protector.

Gangotri

Gangotri is the second stop of the 6 Days Char Dham Yatra sites which is situated at an altitude of 3,100 meters (10,170 feet) in the Uttarkashi district. It holds immense spiritual significance in Hinduism for Gangotri Temple. The Gangotri Temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga which marks the origin of the holy Ganges River. The Ganges River emerges from the Gangotri Glacier at Gaumukh which in Hindu literature means “Mouth of a Cow.”.

The landscape of Gangotri is characterized by towering peaks, dense deodar forests, and the gushing waters of the Ganges. The Goddess Ganga descended to Earth to cleanse the sins of King Bhagiratha’s ancestors is believed according to Hindu mythology. From Gangotri Pilgrims mostly trek 19 kilometers to Gaumukh to witness the enormous glacier that gives birth to this sacred river.

Kedarnath

Kedarnath is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Shiva. This holy stop of the Char Dham Yatra is perched at an altitude of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet). Located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. This sacred town is nestled amidst the stunning Kedarnath range., It is believed that The Kedarnath Temple have been built by the five Pandavas which was later revived by Adi Shankaracharya. The temple is a masterpiece of ancient architecture.

From Gaurikund covering a distance of 16 kilometers through rugged terrain and picturesque landscapes this trek to Kedarnath starts. Badrinath

Badrinath the final stop of the Char Dham Yatra located at an elevation of 3,300 meters (10,827 feet), is one of the most important Char Dham sites and a part of the larger Chota Char Dham circuit. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the Chamoli district. The Badrinath Temple is a symbol of devotion and architectural brilliance with its striking facade and intricate carvings.

The town is surrounded by the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, with the majestic Neelkanth Peak serving as a stunning backdrop. Located near the temple is the thermal springs of Tapt Kund which are considered very sacred and offer a refreshing experience to the pilgrims.
